In 1973 the last stretch of Paris's ring road opened; built to alleviate the capital's heavy traffic, Europe's most congested roadway is used by 1.3 million drivers today.
Thanks to the project "Greater Paris", which is forming a metroplex that extends beyond the ring road, the bypass is becoming a new centre of development.

Launched in October 2011, Barcode.tv is an interactive web documentary about our relationship to objects. Objects are mirrors of who we are. Through the project’s website and iPhone app, explore the secret world of day-to-day items by watching the short films triggered by their bar codes and by sharing your own stories about the objects in your life.This project is the NFB's first international co-production with ARTE.
